I don’t know if this is the right way to put it. But, from several news I’ve read, film camera is indeed sort of a trend now. Though it’s only trending among youth, but it is considered back to the market. With today’s liberty of expressing yourself, many youths are being more open with their opinion and feelings. If they want to approach old stuffs and gain knowledge about it, then they will do.
And in this case, many are started to get interested in oldies staffs. Like, you can see vintage is a hot issue now. Girls are dress in vintage style, with vintage hair, started to read vintage stuffs which most students used to find it a bother. And all the vintage interests spread to camera, as it is something that produce vintage atmosphere.
Creativity Project
35mm film camera is one of many choices the youth can take as to make their own project. You see, with YouTube and all social media, they are probably driven by seeing other people’s creativity on internet and try to transform their creative ideas and mind to something, like movie or short movie.
With best film camera they can find, they started to write down plot, and make film of it. They then produce a unique movie, with different feel than when they use modern camera, with high technology attached to the camera. Using the traditional film camera also makes them feel like they have accomplished something great, which in a way, is true.

People say that trend is just a circular thing that will always come and goes at certain time. I think this is true. 35mm camera was a trend years ago, and now it’s trending again. Someday CG effect will eventually be forgotten and treated as old-fashioned and years later, it will become a trend again. And so on.
